“Independent Visitors” decline 37% in 1996 – 1998. The numbers remain at their low level never to regain their nine year high of 984 people. Independent Visitors to Gwaii Haanas are at a low of 590 persons.

"Multi-Day Tour Visitors" drop by 6% in 1996-1997, and fluctuate around the low 900 level.
The 16.35% drop to 818 in 2004 reinforces the downward trend.

“Day-Tour Visitors” total nine year period is up 247%. Numbers for "Day-Tour Visitors" is 747 people.

"All Visitors" fell 16% for 1996-1997. The numbers recover in 2004 showing a nine year increase of 0.5% for total period. Total "All Visitors" to the Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve for year 2004 is 2,155 people or ten (10) people more than 1996.
